Finally things are slowing down

Whew, this has been a crazy year, and August is half over! What a whirlwind. But I'm doing a happy dance because I finally finally finished the first draft of my WIP, another dark paranormal with some humor, some steamy romance and some mythological characters awkwardly trying to fit into the new millennium. Starting in September, I'll share snippets on Six Sentence Sunday. As much as I love this story, I'm ready to move on to another project!

While I used to work on several WIPs at once, time's been at a premium and I've felt lucky to have the time to devote to even one. Maybe it's a good thing, but maybe not. In working on more than one at a time, I felt it actually lent some perspective to the writing, especially if the stories widely varied in genre. It might sound crazy to you, but it worked for me.

So now I must choose which of the many waiting WIPs to work on. Oh, and I'm also nearly finished revising Wilderness Girl, my humorous erotic romance novella, for re-release this fall.

Nearly all of my WIPs are fantasy/paranormal these days, though I'd love to write another historical sometime. And another contemporary, but as always, it will depend on how strongly an idea tugs at me. I was hoping to have time to finish another holiday story as well, but we'll see if any Christmas magic takes effect.

I hope your summer's going well! Let me know if you did anything fun, or went anywhere interesting. I have to live vicariously through others!
