Diana Gabaldon’s writing process

I love hearing other authors talk about their process. Diana Gabaldon's is similar to mine, in that she works on several at once.

What about you - do you concentrate on one at a time? Or find it helps your flow to switch between a few?

Thanks so much for posting this!! I'm coming to it late, but luckily you left it well tagged for writers like me!

I find that I need to take her advice about switching projects much more than I currently do. I do sometimes write an email to myself or a close friend reader about what I'm struggling with when I get "stuck" on a project, but I love the essence of what Gabaldon is saying here - that she TRUSTS that her subconscious will fill the well again, provided she keeps working on SOMEthing, and keeps checking back in.

Also love the permission in her description of the whiskey goblet - she is literally allowing herself to explore blind and unknowing. YES! Wonderful freedom!

Thank you! Michele Fogal
