Happy Spring!

I know, I know! If you live in the Northeast at all, you're making nasty gestures about now. Spring? But Mother Nature just dumped two inches of snow on us! Arrgh!

Despite it all, Spring has arrived. Mother Nature can pull all the pranks she likes but it won't stop the temps from finally warming, the robins and the hummingbirds and the butterflies from returning.

March 20 is the official first day of Spring! To celebrate, I'm part of the Rites of Spring blog hop.  Thanks to Jessica E. Subject and Heather Long for putting it all together.

First anythings in a relationship can be so magical. For immortals, in more ways than one! For Death and Azrael, it took an eternity (well, almost) to finally have a first one-on-one conversation. Both so busy with their duties as soul gatherer and patron angel of the dead and dying, they never bothered to look past the other's exterior.

Not until Azrael's promotion put them in daily contact did he work up the nerve to ask her out for a drink at The Nethers, the inter-realm bar. He'd always had a thing for her - at a distance. Once he got up-close-and-personal, he was smitten forever.

Death always assumed because Azrael took his duties so seriously, and never took time to have fun, that he was a stuffed shirt. She mistook his shyness for aloofness, his professionalism for coldness.Their first personal conversation revealed a much different male than the persona he projected. It shattered all her assumptions. Once the walls between them came down, they saw each other for who they truly were. Just like mortals, all they needed to do was open up and communicate.

I love seeing everything blossom a little at a time. I try to take notice every day and pay attention to the little changes. I keep thinking it would be fun to do a time lapse video- but so far it has all been in my mind. Every day the world gets a little brighter.

For now- I am waiting for the snow to melt. :)

Thanks for the awesome giveaway. :)

I come alive in the Spring! The green, the buds, the flowers, the sunshine, what isn't to love about Spring? And yes, falling in love all over again is the absolute best!

My favorite season, and all winter I count the days!

I had to snicker at Death taking his work so seriously. Quite an intriguing story. Best wishes!

Most will say you can't smell spring in the air. I can. It seems the wind changes and brings a freshness that smells of new beginnings, new life. I wish it would stay spring all year round.

I read Death is a Bitch. A great story Cate. I enjoyed it immensely, as I have many of your other stories. Keep them coming.

First day of spring and we're to be really cold the next few days. So weird!

Ha, that book description is excellent and certainly one that I want to read! I am going to check out all the others as well when I finish typing this.
Oh the silly snow. It got me here as well for this fine spring day :| Well, maybe we will get a longer break before winter comes back? (It's a nice thought at least!)
My very favorite thing about spring is opening up the windows again. I am starting to miss the fresh air!
Thank you for the chance to enter the giveaway and happy spring everyone!

My favorite part of spring is finally getting warm weather and getting out of the house. I read both excerpts for your 1NS books. They both sound so delish. I have to admit though I am a Knight in shining armor type of gal...hehe So If I'd win I'd love to have "A Hard Day's Knight". Thanks for the giveaway & hop

When I think Spring, I think of the haze of yellow pollen covering EVERYTHING (including the cats), seasonal allergies, tourists, crowds at my favorite restaurants, traffic jams, resuming pay-for-parking at the beach, even mosquitoes. It's not my favorite season! BUT, I do love the beautiful blooming forsythia, azaleas, cherry and pear trees.

I live in SW Florida, so we don't really get Spring here. When I lived up north, I really enjoyed the warmth and the blossoming flowers. :)
Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!
