Sandra Cox Spills the Beans and cover reveal for Love, Lattes and Mutants

Hi, Sandra! So glad to have you at Spilling the Beans, where we can learn a little bit about you, and your book. Grab a cappuccino and let’s chat. Unless you have another favorite drink (alcoholic or otherwise)?
I’m a latte girl, one pump of mocha, half a shot of expresso, no whipped cream.

Fur or feathers, pet-wise?
I’ve got four cats, a dog and I like birds J

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Read, shop and watch movies :)

Are you a night owl or early bird?
That depends on how early, early birds get up. I’m definitely not a night owl, but I have no problems with sleeping past sunrise :)

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
To be able to fly. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

How would your muse describe you?
As someone she has to nudge on a regular basis.

If you could live out any fantasy, what would you do?
Crawl between the covers of a good book and live out the story.

Where can readers find out more about you?
Come visit my blog: sandracox.blogspot.com

Please tell us a bit about your latest book.
In Love, Lattes and Mutants, Piper Dunn is a mutant who’s trying to keep a low profile by making herself look as dowdy as possible. Given the disguise, she can’t understand why the most popular boy in school has taken an interest in her.  But her cover doesn’t keep her from getting captured by the experimental lab that altered her. While there she meets an intriguing dolph-boy.  Now, not only must she escape, but also figure out if it’s the human or dolph-boy that’s won her heart.

Thanks for spilling the beans today!
Thank you for having me, Cate. It’s been all kinds of fun. By the way, I’m looking forward to reading Goddess Awakened.

Great to hear, Sandra! :)

And now... the cover reveal! Congrats on your upcoming release, Sandra! This is such a fun story.

Finding love is hard, even when you aren’t a mutant.

Like most seventeen-year-olds, Piper Dunn wants to blend in with the crowd. Having a blowhole is a definite handicap. A product of a lab-engineered mother with dolphin DNA, Piper spends her school days hiding her brilliant ocean-colored eyes and sea siren voice behind baggy clothing and ugly glasses. When Tyler, the new boy in school, zeroes in on her, ignoring every other girl vying for his attention, no one, including Piper, understands why...

Then Piper is captured on one of her secret missions rescuing endangered sea creatures and ends up in the same test center where her mother was engineered. There she discovers she isn’t the only one of her kind. Joel is someone she doesn’t have to hide from, and she finds herself drawn to the dolph-boy who shares her secrets. Talking to him is almost as easy as escaping from the lab. Deciding which boy has captured her heart is another story...
