Cate: Please welcome author Pamela Hearon. Pamela, will you please share a short bio with us?
Pamela: Thanks, Cate! I was born and raised in Kentucky and will forever be a Southern girl although my usband and I now live in the Midwest. We have three grown children and are empty-nesters—well, except for the cat. We have a motorhome and enjoy traveling. One of the best things about being an author is having the ability to work any place I can take my laptop. Honestly though, writing doesn’t feel like work to me—most of the time.

Cate: Tell us about His Hotness and where it's available.
Pamela: His Hotness is a romantic comedy released by The Wild Rose Press. It’s available in print and most e-book formats on their website. Here’s the link: http://www.thewildrosepress.com/his-hotness-paperback-p-3927.html It’s also available at on-line retailers such as Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com
Cate: Please tantalize us with a story blurb or excerpt.
Pamela: it would be my pleasure!
Jade Bartholomew spent ten years perfecting her 100-point scale that will determine the ideal man for her — His Hotness. Although reality has her re-evaluating some of her dreams, she refuses to give up on two: financial independence and the existence of His Hotness.
Kai Malone lives the American dream. From a middle-class upbringing, he has reached the pinnacle of success as the CEO of a software company which is about to sell for millions. But success has a downside that brings out Kai’s greatest faults: he’s too honest, gives too much of himself, and is too indulgent with the women in his life. He has to change; Techtron’s sale may depend on it.
Jade and Kai meet when she shanks a golf ball into his most vulnerable spot. Not the ideal way to start a relationship — but no one ever said attaining the title His Hotness would be easy.
Cate: Can you tell us why we're going to love your hero?
Pamela: There’s nothing not to love about Kai Malone! He’s sexy but sweet, a giant of a man with a compassionate, tender side. He’s powerful, an alpha when he needs to be, but he has a soft side for the women in his life and will go to any lengths to make sure they are taken care of.

Cate: Tease us with one little thing about your fictional world that makes it different from others.
Pamela: What makes my world different is my writing voice, which one editor described as “compellingly quirky.” As in any romance, Jade and Kai have a number of obstacles to overcome before they can find their happily-ever-after, but His Hotness keeps the reader smiling along the way with a variety of quirky characters. A devious ex and Jade’s over-sexed grandmother bring on surprises and twists that keep the plot light and fun.

Cate: What's next for you?
Pamela: Currently, I’m working on a single-title, contemporary series set in the Kentucky Lake region near my hometown of Paducah, Kentucky. The heroines are all in different stages of life, and secondary characters make cameo appearances from one book to the next.

Cate: What inspired you to draft your first story?
Pamela: My husband and I vacationed in England one year, exploring the sites that play a part in the legends of King Arthur. During that trip, a story began formulating in my mind. I began writing the story down as soon as I got home, and my Arthurian romantic fantasy The Timestone Key was born. It was released by Lyrical Press and is available here: http://www.lyricalpress.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=179

Cate: Do you have a writing routine?
Pamela: I “write” in my head almost constantly, so I always say some of my best writing is done in the shower! I like to write first thing in the morning while the ideas are fresh and other things aren’t crowding in, demanding attention. I have a creativity CD given to me by my critique partner. I put it in, or listen to it on my iPod, and let the rest of the world fade away. The weirdest thing about my writing is that I’m a two-finger typist! I’m working on my sixth book, and I still use only two fingers. And it’s not the two one would expect. I type with the index finger on my right hand and the middle finger on my left hand. I do use my thumbs to hit the space bar, though!
Cate: Where can readers find you on the web?
Pamela: I’m at www.pamelahearon.com and on Facebook. I also have an author page at The Wild Rose Press and Lyrical Press.
Cate: Is there anything you’d like to ask our readers?

Pamela: I’m always open to ideas, so is there anything you as a reader would like to see done that isn’t being done? What are you tired of? What would you like to see more of?
Cate: Readers, Pamela is giving away a book to one lucky commenter... so start commenting. She'll pick a winner on Saturday, March 12th and announce the winner here.
