Firstly, I want to thank Cate for having me over here today. It's great to get the chance to chat a little about my upcoming Eternal Press novel.
I've always been intrigued by the unknown--whether it's monsters that go bump in the night, magic in the shadows, conspiracy theories, or the possibility of aliens--it always gets my attention.
I've always been intrigued by the unknown--whether it's monsters that go bump in the night, magic in the shadows, conspiracy theories, or the possibility of aliens--it always gets my attention.
Most of the time, when I read/hear something about the unknown, the things we're not sure exist out there, my imagination grabs a hold of it and runs. Which is pretty much what happened with my story, SHADE OF GREY.
SoG happens to be a contemporary Sci-Fi story, but it's also a romantic tale about two strangers who shouldn't get involved but can't stay away from each other.
You see, Gypsy's life gets turned upside down when a mysterious man in black appears out of nowhere. After that she gets caught in a race to get away from people who want to catch her. For a reason she had no idea could be real, and a talent she didn't know she possessed.
There are a bunch of secrets in this story, and they mostly revolve around Gypsy. The fact that Calvin happens to know some of them could make their connection a disaster. But when there's no one else to trust, what can she do? And you certainly can't fight a strong attraction, right?
But back to the aliens. In my novel, I pretty much touch on UFOs, MIBs, aliens, abductions, conspiracies... and then give it my own twist. And set it in Australia. It was a lot of fun to write this story and I can't wait for Gypsy and Calvin to be out in the wild for people to read. Actually, this is the first in a planned trilogy, so I hope I get to share the other two with you too.
I don't have a release date yet, but SHADE OF GREY will be available from Eternal Press sometime this year. I'll keep posting about it on my website and blog, so if you enjoy a love story with a little heat, and some alien conspiracies, you might want to check this out! ;)
Thanks for reading!
