I'm excited for the launch of the Blue Moon Over Bliss Lake blog tour today! I hope you'll follow along, and don't forget to enter the giveaway! Thanks to Literary Nook for arranging the tour, and to these hosts and reviewers:
On Sept. 24, 2011, I signed my first two contracts with Decadent Publishing, both on the same day. One was for A Hard Day's Knight and the other for Tonight You Belong to Me.
This week, I signed another contract! This one's for A Wedding at the Blue Moon Cafe, a contemporary and the second in the Blue Moon series. As I was filling out the paperwork, I realized this makes my 14th contract with Decadent. In two years!
As you might have guessed, I'm very happy to be a Decadent author. And yep, I've been happy dancing.
Two stop on the Cursed blog tour today! A feature at Cu's eBook Giveaways and thanks to Indy Book Fairy for inviting me to guest post and especially for agreeing to review Cursed (and most of all for calling it "shockingly beautiful." :))
Plus, I'm also at the Decadent 1NS blog, talking about the mystical and amazing Madame Eve.
The Cursed blog tour kicked off on Monday! Unfortunately my Internet wouldn't allow me to visit Book Reviews because it said the connection was unsafe. With a new computer, I couldn't risk it. :( Today, the tour continues at Snarky Mom Reads Thanks to Snarky Mom for taking the time to review Cursed! I hope you'll pop over and visit.
It's been a busy month already! The Story Structure Safari class I signed up for began on Sunday. Classes are two or three times a week, with plenty of material. And assignments! While I can't share any of the actual class work, the instructor named some resources you might find helpful as well. Martha Alderson wrote a Plot Whisperer book, plus has a YouTube channel and a blog. If I ever get spare time, I'll organize my blog links better to keep writing blogs together.
I hope you had a wonderful and safe Labor Day holiday! I spent mine studying and completing seven interviews and a few blog posts. Only nine more to go... yikes, I'd better get busy!
Oh, before I go... I have to share this wonderful review of Cinderella Dreams from BTSE Magazine! I couldn't get my cursor to grab the text so my wonderful publisher did the next best thing - a screen shot!
I'm grateful to all the hosts! Especially those that agreed to review Cursed. The banner ad at the top right of the blog will take you to this schedule at any time. :)
Woot! Summer's here! Or so the calendar says. Our weather's not supposed to flip-flop - we're supposed to wear them! But it's either chilly or tropical here in central Pennsylvania. No matter. Summer's a time to relax and chill out. Hit the deck with some margaritas!
Here's a recipe served by my heroine, Joss Gibson, at her bed and breakfast, Lavender Hill Inn. Joss grows her own lavender but you can purchase culinary lavender (check the label to be sure it's free of chemicals and pollutants). Refreshing and light, it’s a perfect summer drink!
Lavender Margaritas
Ingredients
•1 cup of tequila, to taste (optional)
•½ cup blue curacao or other orange-flavored liqueur
•1 cup canned coconut milk
•1/3 cup lime juice
•2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries, unsweetened
•2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, unsweetened
•4 cups ice cubes
•1 tablespoon granulated sugar
•1 teaspoon fresh or dried culinary lavender blossoms
•Lime wedge
Directions
1. In blender,
combine tequila, curacao, coconut milk and lime juice. Cover and mix on high
speed. Gradually add raspberries, blueberries, and ice. Mix until margarita
mixture is smooth yet slushy.
2. In small
bowl, mash sugar and lavender blossoms with a spoon. Rub glass rims with lime
wedge to moisten. Dip rims in lavender sugar (or coarse salt), coating evenly.
3. Pour
margaritas into glasses. Garnish with lavender sprigs.
